Step 1: सामान और service चुनें
सबसे पहले यह तय करें कि आपको India Post Parcel Retail चाहिए या Speed Post जैसी दूसरी service। Parcel Retail सामान्यतः surface mode से transmit किया जाता है। अगर delivery speed आपके लिए सबसे जरूरी है, तो अलग service की उपलब्धता और charges पूछें।
Step 2: Parcel pack और label करें
मजबूत packaging का उपयोग करें। Recipient का पूरा नाम, address, city, state और PIN Code साफ लिखें। Sender का return address भी दें। पैकेट पर पुराने labels या गलत barcode न रहने दें।
Step 3: Declaration सही भरें
India Post Parcel नियमों में parcel के साथ निर्धारित form में declaration का उल्लेख है। वस्तु को सही रूप में declare करें। गलत या अधूरी जानकारी से parcel रोका जा सकता है या booking में दिक्कत आ सकती है।
Step 4: Weight, size और postage confirm करें
Final packed parcel का वजन और dimensions जाँचें। India Post Parcel Retail के प्रकाशित नियमों में 35 kg gross weight और size limits का उल्लेख है। Postage पूरी तरह pre-paid होता है; GST और चुनी गई value-added services के शुल्क अलग हो सकते हैं।
Step 5: Receipt और tracking number सुरक्षित रखें
Payment के बाद booking receipt लें और उस पर दिया consignment number संभालकर रखें। इसी नंबर से tracking status देखा जा सकता है। अगर number unreadable हो, तो Post Office से receipt की पुष्टि कराएँ।
Counter पर ये बातें confirm करें: Parcel Retail product, final amount, GST, declaration acceptance, delivery options और COD/POD/insurance जैसी optional services की availability।
