Parcel सुरक्षित भेजने के लिए मजबूत packaging, सही contents description, complete delivery address और sender return details जाँचें।
Parcel को seal करने से पहले packaging, contents और address तीनों की जाँच करें। मजबूत outer box के साथ सही inner protection भी जरूरी है, ताकि सामान्य handling में contents सुरक्षित रहें।
1. Packaging check
- Item के वजन के अनुरूप मजबूत carton या envelope चुनें।
- खाली जगह cushioning से भरें ताकि वस्तु हिले नहीं।
- Liquid या fragile items के लिए appropriate inner protection रखें, यदि item स्वीकार्य हो।
- पुराने labels और barcodes हटाएँ।
2. Contents और restrictions
Contents की सही description दें। Booking से पहले India Post की current prohibited/restricted items list जाँचें। किसी item की acceptance को केवल सामान्य packing advice के आधार पर assume न करें।
3. Address check
Recipient का नाम, house/building, locality, district, state और PIN code verify करें। Sender का complete return address भी लिखें।
4. Booking record
Final packed weight और dimensions मापें। Counter पर available service, charges और tracking options confirm करें। Receipt तथा consignment number सुरक्षित रखें।
