- Compare the returned office name and address with your locality.
- Save the exact office details before planning a visit.
Check the service, not just the location
Some branches may not offer every counter service. Before travelling, contact the office or use India Post’s official help channels to confirm whether it handles parcel booking, delivery enquiries, savings transactions or insurance-related work.
Delivery office and booking office may differ
The office shown in a tracking event may be a booking, transit or processing location. Do not assume it is the delivery office for your home address. For a parcel enquiry, keep the consignment number and latest scan details ready.
