Before packing
- Confirm that the selected international service is available for the destination
- Check whether the item is prohibited or restricted
- Prepare an accurate contents description and declared value
- Check whether an invoice or additional document is required
At booking
Ask the counter staff to confirm the service, applicable charges, customs declaration and tracking options. Keep the booking receipt.
After dispatch
Track the consignment through the official India Post tracker. Destination customs may conduct its own assessment and request further information.
