Remote destination पर parcel भेजने से पहले PIN code, delivery post office, service availability और recipient collection arrangements verify करें।
Remote village, hilly area या दूरस्थ locality में parcel भेजते समय recipient से exact address और PIN code लेना जरूरी है। केवल village name या district लिखना पर्याप्त नहीं हो सकता।
1. Destination details
- Village/locality का पूरा नाम और nearby landmark.
- Post office का नाम, यदि recipient जानता हो।
- District, state और सही PIN code.
- Recipient का reachable phone number.
2. Service availability
Official post office locator से PIN code और branch details जाँचें। Booking counter पर पूछें कि चुनी गई service उस destination के लिए उपलब्ध है या नहीं और delivery/collection की कोई विशेष व्यवस्था लागू है या नहीं।
3. Recipient coordination
Dispatch से पहले recipient को expected parcel और sender details बता दें। Booking के बाद consignment number भेजें ताकि tracking update देखा जा सके। यदि recipient को branch से collect करना पड़े, तो केवल official post office instructions follow करें।
4. Records
Receipt, tracking reference और address की copy सुरक्षित रखें। Delay होने पर latest tracking event के साथ official enquiry करें।
