सही branch मिलने के बाद service availability भी जाँचें
India Post की directory में office मिलना इस बात की गारंटी नहीं कि हर counter service उसी branch पर उपलब्ध होगी। जाने से पहले अपने काम के अनुसार branch से पुष्टि करें।
1. Official locator में branch खोजें
Locality, district या पूरा 6-digit PIN Code तैयार रखें। India Post के Locate Post Office tool में उपलब्ध विकल्प से search करें। Result में office का पूरा नाम, PIN Code और address ध्यान से मिलाएँ।
2. अपने काम के हिसाब से पूछें
- Parcel / Speed Post: क्या इस branch पर booking स्वीकार होती है? आकार, वजन और packing की क्या शर्तें हैं?
- Savings account / POSB: क्या account-related transaction या passbook service यहाँ होती है, या account-maintaining office जाना होगा?
- PLI / RPLI: क्या policy enquiry या document submission इस office में स्वीकार होता है?
- IPPB: क्या माँगी गई banking service इस branch या IPPB access point पर उपलब्ध है?
- Philately / अन्य विशेष सेवा: क्या यह सुविधा इसी location पर उपलब्ध है या designated office पर?
3. Visit से पहले ये details confirm करें
- Branch का सही नाम और पूरा address
- Service counter का working day और timing
- जरूरी ID, passbook, policy या booking documents
- लागू fee, form और payment mode
- क्या appointment या किसी दूसरे office की जरूरत है
ध्यान दें: PIN Code search result और service availability दो अलग बातें हैं। केवल map listing या पुराने directory phone number पर निर्भर न रहें; India Post या संबंधित branch से current details confirm करें।
