Event venues may have loading areas, temporary receiving desks or limited collection hours. Confirm the venue’s instructions before sending material by post.
Confirm with the venue
- Exact venue name, building and postal address
- Recipient or department responsible for receiving parcels
- A contact number where permitted
- Whether parcels are accepted before the event date
- Any gate, floor or delivery-desk instructions
Pack and book
Use suitable packaging, label the parcel clearly and confirm service availability and current charges at the post office.
Track and coordinate
Share the tracking number with the authorised recipient and allow enough time for the venue’s internal handling. Postal delivery does not guarantee immediate handover to an event team.
