A sender’s return address helps identify where an undeliverable postal item may be returned under the applicable service rules. Write it clearly and keep a copy of the booking record.
Include sender details
- Sender’s full name
- House or building number and street
- Locality, town or village
- District, state and PIN code
- A contact number if requested
Check the recipient label too
Make sure the recipient’s name, complete address and PIN code are readable and not covered by tape or folds.
Keep proof
Retain the booking receipt and tracking number. Return handling depends on the service conditions and the reason delivery could not be completed.
