How to register a Speed Post complaint
- Keep your consignment number, booking receipt and booking date ready.
- Register online through the official complaint guidelines or visit a post office.
- At the first level, take the issue to the Postmaster / In-charge of the post office where the transaction occurred, or the Senior Superintendent / Superintendent of Post Offices.
- Keep the system-generated acknowledgement or complaint reference so you can follow up.
When can a complaint be registered?
India Post says a service complaint may be registered after the prescribed delivery norm for that service has expired and within 60 days of the transaction. Service-specific delivery norms apply.
What if the complaint is not resolved?
If it is not settled within a reasonable period, India Post’s guidelines allow escalation to the concerned Circle Nodal Officer. The official guidelines also describe a further route to the Directorate of Public Grievances where applicable.
